This track is taken from the upcoming project, 'Vista Variations', a collaboration between David J and Tim Newman and others.
The genesis for this project came about when Tim had the inspiration to manipulate fragments taken from old cassette demo tapes made by David between the years 1979 and 2010. This initial process took place at Tim's studio in Bristol, England and was then developed when Tim visited David in Vista, California where the two added new instrumentation and vocals. The latter consisting of spoken dream transcripts. During the recording of one of these which refers to a dream which David had that featured an appearance by Black Francis (AKA Frank Black), David decided to text the Pixies' front man to request a cameo.
The dog barking in the background occurred during the recording and was promptly sampled and flown in to amusing effect.
